The brief
Maoko Solutions is a South African engineering firm delivering water, wastewater and mining infrastructure across Africa. The people who commission that work — procurement leads at mines, facilities managers at malls, engineers at municipalities — are technical buyers. They are not persuaded by marketing language, and they lose patience with a site that cannot tell them what a firm has actually built.
The problem was one of translation rather than volume. Maoko had the projects and the expertise; what they needed was a site that presented both at the depth a technical audience expects, without collapsing into jargon that a mall operator or a council officer would bounce off.

Our approach
We started with structure, not visuals. We mapped what each audience needs to reach a decision — a mine wants evidence of comparable scale, a municipality wants compliance and operability, a mall wants running costs — and let those questions set the shape of the site rather than working backwards from a template.
That produced a spine of Services, Projects and Gallery, with the project portfolio carrying most of the persuasive weight. Every claim about capability is anchored to a real installation with a capacity figure attached, so a reader can judge relevance without contacting anyone first.
Design followed. The palette leans on the blue already present in the Maoko mark, and the typography is set large and plain, because the copy is technical and needed to stay readable at length. Photography is drawn from real sites and installations rather than stock, which matters to an audience that recognises the difference immediately.

What we built
A full marketing site with a structured project portfolio at its centre, built to be extended by the Maoko team as new installations complete.
- Project portfolio with capacity figures, sector tags and per-project detail pages
- Services architecture spanning water, wastewater, mining and utilities
- Gallery of site and installation photography
- Blog and Careers sections for ongoing publishing and recruitment
- Enquiry routing through a persistent contact call-to-action
- Responsive layouts down to mobile, where much of the site traffic lands
Results
The site now presents Maoko's water, wastewater and mining work as a coherent body of evidence rather than a list of services, and gives their commercial team something to point at in a pitch. Technical input from Maoko's engineers was incorporated throughout, so the language holds up to scrutiny from the specialists reading it.
Testimonial
“Engineering work is technical, and we needed a website that communicated our expertise to mines, malls, and municipalities without dumbing it down. LofiCode balanced this well: the site clearly presents our water, wastewater, and mining projects, with a portfolio that helps clients see our past work. They stayed responsive and incorporated our technical input properly. The result looks credible and professional, perfect for pitching serious infrastructure clients.”
